Senior Advisor: Operations & Security

Mr. Kanovich retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as the Director of Infrastructure and Operations, Commonwealth Technology Center, Office of Administration. He brings to Affion 33 years of experience in many areas of IT such as project management and planning, operational and infrastructure aspects, strategic policy Initiatives, ERP, procurement, security, auditing, conducting and reviewing RFPs.

Mr. Kanovich was directly involved with some of the Commonwealth’s most innovative, extensive, and complex public sector RFPs ever engaged by a state government. He managed a 110-member staff that led Commonwealth enterprise-wide technology initiatives, and was responsible for the day-to-day management/operation of the Commonwealth Technology Center that hosted many of the Commonwealth’s large mission critical Information Technology systems. 

These included the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System known then as Imagine PA; the legacy ERP system known as the Integrated Central System (ICS) and its legacy Security System supporting 8,000+ users; the email system for all Commonwealth employees; the Commonwealth’s Enterprise Server Farm; the Commonwealth network supporting the firewall, intrusion detection and anti-virus systems; all of the Commonwealth’s e-government and web systems; and hosting the State-wide Radio System and JNET.
